The Bashneft Oil Refining Complex (a subsidiary of Rosneft Oil Company) has successfully implemented an Advanced Process Control System (APCS), which is a significant element of the enterprise’s ongoing Digital Plant project. The innovation allows to optimise the production process by selecting the most efficient mode of operation for the specific raw material composition, which significantly increases the yield of high-margin products. The economic effect of the implementation of the system has already exceeded 450 million roubles so far.
Digitalisation in all areas of operation is one of the key objectives of the Rosneft-2030 Strategy. The focus on introduction of digital technologies increases transparency, manageability and speed of decision-making throughout the Company’s production chain.
The introduction of APCS also reduces the time it takes for the plant to reach normal operation and reduces the information load on the operating staff.
Rosneft is the first Russian company that plans to combine the implemented innovation system at individual process facilities, which will result in additional synergy effect.
