Ufaorgsintez, an enterprise of Rosneft Oil Company’s oil refining and petrochemical complex, has carried out a technical upgrade of its water and wastewater systems. The modernisation has resulted in energy savings of up to 330,000 kWh per year and has significantly optimised pipeline maintenance.
One of the key priorities of the Rosneft-2030 Strategy is developing technological capacity and ensuring accident-free operation of industrial facilities. As one of the leaders in global energy, the Company is introducing technologies that minimise its environmental impact.
As part of the modernisation of the plant, the water cooler was retrofitted, reducing electricity consumption by a third.
The pipeline for one of the water blocks was also completely removed from the ground, which significantly reduced maintenance costs and increased the reliability of the industrial water supply for the plant’s production facilities. In addition, 80% of the industrial water supply and return pipelines have been replaced, significantly reducing the cost of technical water to feed the water block.
