Employees of Kondaneft (Rosneft’s production asset) planted about 750,000 seedlings of Scots pine in 2022 at more than 200 hectares in the Agansk and Surgut forest districts of Yugra. The seedlings were grown on behalf of oil companies in specialised nurseries and are well adapted to the harsh climatic conditions of Western Siberia.
Preservation of the environment for future generations is an integral part of the corporate culture of Rosneft. The enterprise’s employees have planted more than 2 million seedlings of Scots pine on an area of 500 hectares in 2021.
The Kondaneft staff also took part in the International Garden of Memory campaign, which is dedicated to the feat of soldiers, heroes of the Great Patriotic War and workers on the home front who defeated fascism in 1945. A new green space, the Garden of Memory, appeared this spring in Khanty-Mansiysk on the Irtysh Embankment near the enterprise’s office. The staff decorated the area with 77 saplings of cranberry, bird cherry and lilac.
