RN-Nyaganneftegaz (an enterprise of the Rosneft Oil Company’s oil production complex) saved more than 20 million kWh of electricity in 2022 through its energy-saving programme. The economic effect exceeded 64 million roubles, 39% higher than in 2021.

Improvement of production asset efficiency is one of the key components of the Rosneft-2030 Strategy. The Company works systematically to rationalise the use of energy resources and reduce energy consumption, optimising electrical loads and thermal processes.

RN-Nyaganneftegaz’ energy saving programme covers organisational, technical and regulatory measures to save fuel and energy resources and improve the energy efficiency of all key processes. The enterprise is also consistently developing and improving the efficiency of its Energy Management System.

In 2022, the enterprise’s specialists implemented more than 560 measures to improve energy efficiency, with a focus on the introduction of efficient high-voltage submersible motors. Today, more than 80% of mechanised wells are equipped with this type of machinery, which is one of the highest rates in the industry.

A set of measures implemented by RN-Nyaganneftegaz to monitor the technical and energy condition of the pumping equipment at the surface infrastructure facilities has increased the energy efficiency index of cluster pumping stations to 93%. As a result, the unit electricity consumption was reduced by more than 22 million roubles.
