Angarsk Petrochemical Company, an enterprise of Rosneft’s refining complex, has improved the efficiency of air monitoring by 35%.
Environment protection is an integral part of Rosneft Oil Company’s corporate culture and one of the key principles of its business. The Company aims to achieve leadership positions in minimising the environmental impact and ensuring the eco-friendliness of its production.
Angarsk Petrochemical Company’s sanitary lab specialists have developed and implemented modern measuring techniques to determine key environmental indicators in lab practice. Alongside those, new air monitoring methods have been developed and certified and submitted to the Federal Information Fund on the Uniformity of Measurements.
Information on the results of the air monitoring in Angarsk is publicly available. An LED screen has been installed in the city centre to display environmental monitoring data from the sampling sites 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Angarsk Petrochemical Company allocates substantial funds on a regular basis for the implementation of environmental protection measures. There are three main areas of work: reducing the impact on air, improving the quality of wastewater treatment and minimising the generation of industrial and domestic waste. State-of-the-art technologies are being introduced into production to save energy resources, reduce emissions and minimise the content of various substances.
