More than a thousand schoolchildren and students from Krasnoyarsk took part in Rosneft Day, which was organised by the Company's enterprises operating in the region*, at the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Siberian Federal University.
At Rosneft Day, the children were introduced to the Company's activities and learned about internship and employment opportunities, as well as the most in-demand professions. Future oil workers took part in talks and themed competitions, workshops, job fairs, careers tests and the Oil and Gas Quest game. In addition, RN-Vankor representatives conducted professional and technical tests of the participants in a number of oil and gas areas, such as Oil Preparation, Development and Exploitation of Oil and Gas Fields, Operation of Oilfield Pipelines, etc.
Working with the younger generation is one of the priorities of the Company's youth policy. Youth programmes are designed to attract new skilled personnel to the Company and to effectively integrate young professionals into the workplace.
As part of this programme, Rosneft is providing comprehensive support to the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Siberian Federal University (SFU): developing the institution's facilities, supporting teachers and students with corporate grants and scholarships, and providing students with internships in its enterprises.
Around 200 future oil workers will visit the production facilities of RN-Vankor (the operator of the Vostok Oil project) this year. In total, around 3,000 students have received practical and pre-graduate training since the enterprise began operations, and more than 1,500 young professionals have found jobs at RN-Vankor.
In order to provide the Vostok Oil project with qualified personnel, an extensive training programme is being implemented in the region. The training will take place in eight educational institutions in the Krasnoyarsk region: Siberian Federal University, E.A. Demyanenko Achinsk College of Oil and Gas, Krasnoyarsk Construction College, Krasnoyarsk College of Welding Technology and Energy, Krasnoyarsk College of Transport and Service, Yemelyanovo Road Construction College, Igar Multidisciplinary Technical School and Taimyr College.
In addition, 30 specialised training areas have been created in secondary vocational education institutions for the Vostok Oil project. Extensive recruitment has been undertaken in a wide range of specialist and related areas. This year alone, RN-Vankor plans to hire more than 4,000 core specialists. TBS Logistika, which operates the Vostok Oil Project, is looking to fill another 7,000 vacancies.

Rosneft's flagship Vostok Oil project in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is unprecedented in terms of the scale of construction and the number of specialists involved. The project will become not only the largest source of oil supplies to the world market, but also a powerful engine for the development of a number of sectors of the Russian real economy. The project will create around 400,000 jobs during construction and around 130,000 jobs during operation.
