Rosneft held a major competition among its employees to meet the standards of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex «Ready for Labour and Defense» (GTO). 600 amateur athletes from 53 Rosneft subsidiaries operating in five federal districts took part in the competition.

Teams of three (2 men and 1 woman) competed to win the functional all-around, performing strength, agility and endurance exercises. The GTO programme consisted of 12 events: 60m, 100m, 1, 2 and 3km running, high and low bar pull-ups, kettlebell lifting, floor standing push-ups and other exercises.

The winners (in age categories) were the teams from Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company, Komsomolsk Refinery and Bashneft-Dobycha.

Second place went to teams from Verkhnechonskneftegaz, Saratov Refinery, Purneftegaz and Uvatneftegaz. Taas-Yuryah Neftegazodobycha, Angarsk Petrochemical Company, Samotlorneftegaz and the Syzran Refinery took third place.

Diplomas, prizes, medals and trophies were awarded to the medalists and winners. Rosneft is developing the Energy of Life sports and fitness movement, which involves employees in regular sports and competitions. The movement has already attracted more than 106,000 employees.
