Rosneft volunteers held an environmental event — plogging — in Moscow’s Izmailovsky Park, where the Company’s employees collected rubbish while jogging.

The event was attended by more than 150 of the Company’s employees and their family members. The eco-volunteers collected almost 300kg of waste over a distance of more than 6km.

Preservation of the environment for future generations is an integral part of Rosneft’s social policy. The Company promotes a culture of healthy living and supports professional and amateur sport. Plogging is an international environmental movement in which participants combine jogging with litter picking. As well as helping to improve the environment, the event brings people together, giving them a chance to spend time outdoors and recharge their batteries.

Volunteering has become an important part of Rosneft’s corporate culture. As part of the Platform of Good Deeds corporate programme, approximately 800 different actions were organised in the 6 months of 2024, in which more than 50 thousand employees of the Company participated.

One such volunteer project is the plogging runs, which take place each year in the regions of the Company’s operations. Earlier this year, for example, Rosneft employees collected waste in Moscow’s Fili Park.

The Company’s volunteering projects are highly regarded at both regional and national level. This year, the Syzran refinery received the Ecobalance Public Award for its contribution to the development of corporate volunteering and environmental protection in the Samara Region, reforestation and greening of the city of Syzran. SamaraNIPIneft won first place in two categories of the Russian Organisation of High Social Efficiency national competition: «for development of human resources potential in non-production organisations» and «for support of employees — large families in organisations». The Kuibyshev Refinery was also named a winner of the Kommersant-Volga competition in the Environmental Education category.
