Rosneft Expands Cooperation in Education and Science
14 September 2023Rosneft Oil Company signed a trilateral cooperation agreement on education and science with Qatar University and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) at the 8th Eastern Economic Forum.
The agreement provides for cooperation between the parties in the implementation of additional vocational training programmes for Rosneft enterprises. The agreement also covers research and development activities in areas such as gas production and processing, gas chemistry, climate change and carbon footprint reduction, and digital technologies.
The agreement will contribute to the development of partnership relations between Rosneft, Qatar University and USPTU, as well as to solving the Company’s human resources and scientific and technological tasks.

Ufa State Petroleum Technological University is one of the leading technological universities in Russia. More than 20 Rosneft Group companies also interact with the USPTU on a regular basis. The Department of Digital Technologies in the Development and Exploitation of Oil and Gas Fields was established at USPTU in 2017, under the auspices of Rosneft.
Qatar University is a public institution of higher education, the country’s first, largest and leading university, established in 1973. The university is considered a major academic and research centre in the Gulf region and a major supplier of human resources to the Qatari labour market.
